Hey readers! In today's post I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce the family behind Charming Movers. Hopefully you know by now we are female-owned and family-operated, and reading below you can learn a little bit more about each of us!
Cheri -- President, Owner, Mother
Cheri started it all back in 2004 after herself experiencing a nightmare move. The company she hired used a bait-and-switch tactic that ended up doubling the cost of her move. This was a terrible experience as a single mother to young twins. Working as a research analyst at the time, Cheri couldn't stop thinking about her nightmare move. She had a desire to turn this negative experience around into something positive. She was then inspired to start Charming Movers, and encouraged by those around her. She knew it wouldn't be easy as a woman in a male-dominated field, but what she saw was opportunity. Cheri saw an opportunity to use her skills; as an analyst, mother and woman to bring a fresh perspective to the moving industry. Charming Movers prides itself in personalized service that caters to each of our clients individually. Cheri wanted to ensure that the moving industry could provide a compassionate and detail-oriented approach through Charming Movers, and over 20 years later we just keep truckin'.
Suki -- Social Media Manager, Virtual Estimate Coordinator, Daughter & Sister
Suki has been a part of the Charming Movers team since she was in high school. She has learned the moving industry first-hand, going on packs and moves, managing the office, dispatching, and training directly under Cheri. Estimating jobs is second nature to Suki, and she was at the forefront of digitizing the estimation process and many other aspects of Charming Movers. In this digital age, Suki also manages our social networks to stay connected with customers, and share our best moving tips and photos!
Evan -- Dispatch Manager, Diesel Mechanic, CDLA Driver, Mover, Son & Brother
Much like Suki, Evan has been turning a wrench and picking up furniture since high school. Evan is in charge of caring for our fleet, driving our 56-foot tractor-trailer, and managing our dispatch center. Evan has also trained directly under Cheri and being one of our drivers, plays a very important part of our team. Evan is responsible for getting your treasured belongings from point A to B safely, through the wrapping, loading and unloading, and driving of your move.
Maddie -- Office Administrator, Customer Service, Daughter & Sister
Ever have a question regarding your move? Maddie is here to help! Maddie manages the day-to-day tasks of operating a trucking and moving business, including customer correspondence. Behind the scenes, there's a lot that goes into keeping Charming Movers going. Between sending estimates, remaining DOT compliant, writing paperwork, maintaining our website ;), Maddie does a little bit of everything! She has been learning the moving industry under Cheri since high school.

The backbone of our business, each one of our guys has years of experience in the industry. The foreman at each of our jobs has at least 5 years of experience or more in moving and with Charming Movers.
